How to get Airbnb Superhost Status
Are you ready to take your hosting game to the next level?
At SuperStay, we believe in setting the gold standard for hospitality, and that's why we're thrilled to guide you through the journey of becoming an Airbnb Superhost.
The Superhost badge is more than just an icon – it's a testament to your commitment to providing exceptional experiences for your guests. So, let's dive into the requirements and tips for achieving this coveted status.
How It Works
Becoming a Superhost is a quarterly achievement, and Airbnb evaluates your hosting performance over the past 12 months for all the listings under your account. You don't need to have hosted for the full 12 months to qualify; your performance during the assessment periods will determine your eligibility.
The assessment periods kick off on:
January 1st
April 1st
July 1st
October 1st
If you meet the program requirements by the assessment date, you'll automatically earn the prestigious title of Superhost – no need to go through a separate application process.
Airbnb will notify you of your new status at the end of each assessment period. While the Superhost badge might take up to 1 week to appear on your listings, your efforts will be instantly recognized by fellow hosts and potential guests.
Requirements
Completed Trips and Reservations: To qualify, you need to have completed at least 10 trips or 3 reservations that cumulatively account for at least 100 nights.
High Response Rate: Maintaining open lines of communication is key in the world of hospitality. Keep your response rate at 90% or higher to show guests that you're attentive and ready to assist.
Cancellations and Extenuating Circumstances: Strive to keep your cancellation rate below 1%. Exceptions are made for situations covered under our Extenuating Circumstances policy, ensuring fairness for unexpected situations.
Overall Rating: Your guests' feedback is invaluable. Aim to maintain a stellar 4.8 overall rating. Every review counts towards your Superhost status when both you and your guest submit reviews, or when the 14-day review window concludes, whichever comes first.
Tips for Success
Consistency Matters: Superhost status isn't achieved overnight. Consistently hosting, communicating effectively, and delivering exceptional experiences are the keys to success.
Prompt Communication: Respond promptly to inquiries and messages. Even if you can't provide an immediate answer, letting your guests know you're addressing their concerns goes a long way.
Attention to Detail: Pay attention to the small things that make a difference – from cleanliness to providing amenities that enhance your guests' stay.
Flexible Cancellation Policy: While maintaining a low cancellation rate is important, consider adopting a flexible cancellation policy to attract more bookings.
Personal Touch: Personalize your interactions to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A personal note or local recommendations can make guests feel truly valued.
Continuous Improvement: Use guest feedback constructively. Identify areas for improvement and take steps to enhance your hosting skills and the quality of your property.
Becoming a Superhost isn't just about meeting requirements; it's a commitment to exceptional hosting - and at SuperStay that’s always our mission :)
